Hand embroidery is as beautiful as it is calming. It’s a craft, an art, a way to engage in self care, and a powerful form of activism.
Join Information Design professor, Milena Radzikowska to learn how to plan and start a hand embroidery project. You will learn how to transfer an image onto fabric, prepare your materials, and three basic hand embroidery stitches. We will focus on giving you confidence to do hand embroidery and use it in creative, unexpected ways!
This event is organized by the Riddell Library’s Maker Studio and MRU’s Information Design program.
Wednesday, October 17, 2018.
