Gabrielle Dickson—recipient of the Centennial Gold Medal

We are thrilled to congratulate Gabrielle Dickson for being the recipient of the 2019 Centennial Gold Medal. Gabrielle Dickson who will be graduating with a Bachelor of Communication—Information Design will be presented with the medal at Spring Convocation.

Criteria for this award includes not only a high GPA, but also demonstrated leadership through involvement in campus and community activities. Gabrielle achieved and displayed both during her tenure here at Mount Royal University.

Gabrielle excelled academically, not only developing and diversifying her information design skills, but applying them within her own program as well as in the International Student Support Centre, where she took responsibility for rebranding and revamping all of its marketing materials.

As well, her participation in two of Mount Royal’s exchange programs—Graz, Austria and Nantes, France—and her efforts in championing international education for Mount Royal students in the form of study abroad, as well as her orientation sessions for foreign exchange students, have greatly influenced both and have helped to bring significant focus to internationalization on our campus.

Gabrielle’s professors, co-workers, and fellow students join in applauding her efforts and accomplishments, and wish her continued success as she embarks on her career in an industry that is poised to explode!
