Mount Royal University starts taking applications for the 4-year Information Design program beginning each fall for the subsequent year.
All students must meet the general admission requirements for Mount Royal programs, as indicated in the admissions section of the current Mount Royal calendar. Applicants to the Bachelor of Communication—Information Design require a satisfactory interview and to meet one of the following criteria:
High School Standing: Minimum 60% average in five appropriate Grade 12 subjects (30 level subjects) including English Language Arts 30-1 (formerly English 30).
Mature Standing: To be eligible for admission on the basis of mature standing, applicants must be 21 years of age by September 1 of the year in which they apply, as well as: A minimum grade of 60% the Grade 12 course English Language Arts 30-1 (formerly English 30).
Post-Secondary Standing: To be eligible for admission on the basis of post-secondary standing, applicants must present a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.00 on the 5 most recently completed post-secondary courses (minimum 15 credits).
Admission to ID is competitive. Only 38 students are accepted into the fall semester each year (we only have one intake per year).
